John's Story
Life
I am presently married to Angela Kaye and have a 10 yoa son, John Ryan.
Workplace
After we graduated I started working for the Brevard County Sheriff's Office as a PSA then as Deputy Sheriff. I transferred to the Titusville PD in 1995 and then on to the Marion County Sheriff's Office in Ocala. There I held the position of Deputy Sheriff / Pilot in the aviation division until 2003 when I went full time with the National Guard. I still fly with MCSO as a reserve pilot and reserve deputy sheriff.

Military
I went to basic training in 1988 and Army Flight School in 1991. I've been flying UH-1 Huey and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters for the Florida Army National Guard ever since. After completing a 1 year combat tour in Iraq in 2005, I attended the Aviation Tactical Operations Officer Course and now hold that position in my Unit and the facility I work in. After being a "traditional guardsman" for 15 years I went full time in 2003. I presently hold the Rank of Chief Warrant Officer 2 (promotable).
