John's Story
Life
I arrived in Korea 11 Dec 1974. I was assigned to Alfa Company 1/72 Armor, 3rd platoon. I was the loader on A34. I hung out a lot with a guy named Bill Kuhn that was also in Alfa Company, 2nd platoon on tank A22.
I am turning 50 in February and just had birthday bash. Bill was able to attend. He lives in Bakersfield, CA and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have 3 kids- 25, 24, 18 and have a baby boy on the way.

ork in the freight business which lasted 27 years. Now, I own my company here in the Bay.
Bill Kuhn and I are talking about arranging a trip/reunion back to Korea within the next year or so. We are looking forward to spending some time in TDC. We hear that the Savoy Club is still there, but not sure about the Crown Club or the New Korea Club.
I lived off post in the village directly behind the Silver Star Tea Room...if any of you guys remember that?
