John's Story
I'm a very happily married tea party Republican who has maintained the same job for (as of 2010) the past 26 years. I'm active in my church (Missionary Baptist) and I allow my religion to control my world view, and not vice versa.
Thanks in part to diabetes, I can still wear the same size clothes that I did in High School (34 inch waist), but it did take 10 months of dieting to lose the 75 pounds that allows me to say that now.
I'm a constitutionalist; I think we have the right to keep our guns, our God, and our money, at least some of it (read as pro-flat tax). I think burning our flag should be a cr...Expand for more
ime, capital punishment is an excellent deterrent, and if the government would let us spank our kids the way we were spanked when we were growing up, teen related crime would go down.
I think underwear should be worn inside the pants, shrapnel is never a fashion statement (body piercings), and "No Fear" is another way of saying "No Brains" or "No Respect".
That being said, I realize we live in a country that gives its citizens freedoms, including the freedom to be different; that I'm happy to have been born in the United States and seeing what other countries are like, won't take our liberties for granted.
