John's Story
I live in Columbus Indiana now. Married for 8 years now. Not working now because of a heart condition but still can get around some. I have five kids living on the east coast. Johnny is 26, james 25, kendra 20 , kathy 15, and matthew 15.
Indiana is flat land and not many hills, in some places there is little hills and vallies, but not many, until you get in to ky. Then there is not many. It is prety flat. When you leave town, every road is a mile square. so if you went down one mile and took a left and went amother mile and took a left and did that 3 times you would come back to where you started. it is like there here eve...Expand for more
rywhere. every mile there is road. and some times there is only one house with in that mile. There is a lot of farms here and they grow corn and soy beans. it is every where. 50 to 100 acre fields if it, every where you go. and once in a while you will see some tabacco growing. with the lands so flat when it rains for a week, we have a flood here. we had one flood and it took out about 200 houses here in Columbus. the water rose 10 feet in 6 hours and by the next morning it was gone. we have a lot of factorys here that make car parts. but when the car companies shut down so do they. So there is work here and then there is not.
