John's Story
Finally at age 65 I ended up buying a 1994 Mustang GT Convertible.I still have the car and have only put about 5000, miles on the car the past three years. This car is not real flashy but is super clean and in great shape. I entered the car in three Mustang Car shows and won an award each time. This is the first Convertible that I ever owned in my life and am enjoying it.
One of the fun things I did last year was renting a Hertz Shelby Mustang GTH convertible in Orlando, Florida . I met with my good friend Carl Nodd a former Tolleston Guy that ended up graduing from Edison. I stayed at Carl & Janets home in Clermont, Fl. nd girl to have a picture taken with me next the Shelby Mustang. I got a little sunburn from driving around Florida with the top down but it was worth it. Last year and this year I paid too much money and bought tickets to a Cubs playoff game. Unfortunately the Cubs lost both games. I still think the Cubs will win a World series sometime while I am still on this earth. Jim Trojan another Tolleston dude attended a regular season game with me. I thought that since the Cubs won all three regular season games in 08, that I went to that I would bring them luck for the playoff game with the Dodgers. Unfortunately The Dodgers Pitched and hit better than the Cubs in that playoff game one. Otherwise I lead a pretty boring life and do things like work on class reunion committees.
