John's Story
Long strange trip. Got to college, got married, had son, got divorced, then spent most of next 10 years in school -- San Jose State and UC Santa Barbara. Spent several summers in Italy. Then post-docs in Zurich, Switzerland, and Knoxville, Tennessee (moon rocks!). Did a lot of technical climbing in Yosemite, Canada, Alps.

Carolina. Lots of cool travel (Russia, Armenia, Ossettia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Australia, Oman, South Africa, Cyprus). After 16 years there, moved to Utah State University in Logan, Utah, in 2000. Still here.
Got married again along the way, with daughter now in college. Life is good living in the mountains, but its way too cold in the winter. Miss the California beach weather.
