John's Story

After high school I worked full time and went to school full time for a year. One year of that was all I could take. Then I joined the Air Force. They sent me to school for my BS in Math, where I met my wife (we have been married for 41 years.) After school I went to Officer Training, then we moved to Nebraska for two years, where our son was born. (He now lives with his wife and three children in New Jersey.) t, we lived in Florida, Colorado, Nevada and New Mexico, where I worked in a variety of Test and Evaluation positions, with a stint as a math instructor at the Air Force Academy. I retired in 1986, and we moved to California where I worked at Northrop for 5 years, which turned me against Aerospace. We moved to Las Vegas and lived there for 14 years, where we worked in desktop publishing and I worked in computer graphics. We recently moved to Tennessee, where I started teaching math at a community college. So far, so good.
