Life
Hi everyone, a lot has happened in the last 10 years. I got married to my HS sweetheart Nicole and we have been married almost 10 years. We have 2 children Noah (9) and Emily (6). I went into the Army right after High School and that is where I became a mechanic and later on a sergeant. I LOVED the army however on a June day back in 2003 I was in a horrible accident. A mistake by a new soldier caused 2000 lbs of engine to land on me. I had shattered my spine in 4 spots and I was paralyzed. After a successful surgery that literally made me the 1 million dollar man I had titanium rods and cages fused to my back and a scar that went from my shoulders to my tailbone. owly I was able to move my feet, then I could move myself to a wheelchair alone and after 3 months I managed to start hobbling in a walker. On the one year anniversary of my accident I was discharged from the military as a disabled veteran and walked off the base using only my trusty cane. After my discharge I moved back to the Tri-cities because I had taken my wife with me around the world and it was time for her to reconnect with her family here. I now work at Areva (a manufacturer of nuclear fuel rods) and havenÂt used a cane in 2 1/2 years. I have managed to regain almost all movement that I lost and have even started to run again. I currently have a degree in Business from Troy State University and I am working toward an advanced degree at WSU Tri-Cities.
