John's Story
Time keeps on moving....I have been married to the same wonderful person for 37 years and we have two sons also two grandsons and two grandaughters(one living). The kids live close to us so we get to see them on a regular schedule because they are busy! WE ALL THAT HAVE CHILDREN UNDERSTAND). I retired this year after closing the 154 year old family busines which I was President of since 2000.
2009...Have been busy the past year since closing business. I got a consultation notice from the SCOOTER STORE so I am now offically old and on my way to feeling old . Just great! I tried to find some part time work and found out what alot of us are facing in the world today. 2011 ..End of August...I am finding that trying to find part t ime work is a real challange! 17 months and still looking, but have run into MANY people from the past who I have dealt with from our business and find it great just to chat with them. I thinks that daily conversation and helping people is what I miss the most. Myoldest grandson started Washinton Junior High last week and my youngest starts kindergaren in Sycamore this week. Granddaughter Olivia following and is going to be a big event in our lives as he continue to grow up (at this point dolls maybe a problem..soccer may not....have to wait and see/ still kick-in at least this year!
