John's Story
I am still doing refrigeration and have moved to Costa Mesa. Additionally, believe it or not, I am a full time instructor at Orange Coast College teaching refrigeration and air conditioning at night. They ACTUALLY made me a professor (what a joke), I am the "X" rated professor.
I lost Judy 3 years ago to medistatic cancer, completely undiagnosed, she went to the hospital on Wednesday and passed the next day, I still don't believe it.
I plan on being at the reunion if we have one and seeing a lot of you there, I hope. Yes, I'm a lot older, a little fatter, still have all my hair (different color now).
Update, I no longer have the refrigeration business except for a couple of long time customers which I will work until they find me laying under some ice machine.
We still go to Mike Sipple's cocktail party every year in Cerritos in July and hope to see many of you there, if you would like I will post the address and date and time.

suffering from it until I took her to the emergency room on March 22, where they diagnosed it as advanced stage 4. She passed the next night at 7:43 PM. I am glad that she did not have to go through what so many have had to endure with the Chemo and the radiation, Judy disliked doctors and hospitals intensely. She was kept under deep sedation and was not aware of any pain and she passed peacefully.
I am finding things hard without her but am making it with the help of my daughters and friends. Gayle Ausburn Thackery has been a big help through this, she lost her husbanc 2 years ago so she pretty much lets me k now what may be coming next.
I am a full time PROFESSOR at Orange Coast College, who would have guessed, and am in my 14th year. They have no idea who is teaching the students, most of our teachers at Lakewood would be flabbergasted to say the least.
I still see many friends from Lakewood, fewer each year, and have lunch with a couple of them every month, and, of course, I attend Mike Sipples coctail party every July.
