Jet Skiing: Linda has a 2005 Yamaha FX Cruiser (140 hp). I have a 2005 Yamaha FX Cruiser High Output (160 HP) . Mostly jet ski at the Colorado River but will probably do some at Mission Bay this year (2007). Participated in the Tennessee River 600 in 2004, 05, 06. 600 miles on the Tennessee River and passing through 8 locks on our jet ski's. Not something we can do in So. Cal. The 600 is a charity event for the Children's Miracle Network in the Tennessee River Valley. Three Children's Hospitals in TN and AL receive the money raised. Over $100,000 in the first 9 yrs of the run. We stay in hotels and lodges at night. Our luggage is moved for us. We just get on our jet skis and go from one place to the next. We Start in Knoxville, TN. Overnight stops in Chattanooga, TN (185 mi), Guntersville, AL (117 mi), Joe Wheeler State Park, AL (81 mi), Pickwick Landing State Park, TN (73 mi). Ends at Paris Landing State Park, (144 mi). 600 miles total. In 2005 Linda and I (and our granddaughter Rachel) added another day of travel from Paris Landing St. Park into Kentucky. We went around the "Land Between The Lakes", into the Cumberland River and finished at Ashland City, TN (not far from Nashville). Our run that year was 765 miles. In 2005 and 06, I put my other hobby to work. I framed pictures I took in Wilson Lock in 2004 and Fort Loudon Lock in 2005 and auctioned them off. Together they got $1,200 for CMN. The Fort Loudon picture was also published in Ride Magazine. Do you jet ski?
