Life
Wow, writing about myself... what a rush! (sheesh!)
Well, other than a brief sojourn to Arkansas to finish college (who knew?), I've spent pretty much my whole life within five miles of where I was born. My wife (of 18 years) and I live in La Mirada, with three great kids (the oldest is 12). We have both worked at Biola University for about 20 years now. Life is good; some unexpected challenges, some undeserved blessingsÂ
but itÂs been really good.
I've had a truly strange career path, but I'm now doing something I love. I teach part-time in the honors program at Biola, but I spend most of my time editing an online magazine for Bio...Expand for more
la undergrads. It's the most journalism I've done since MVHS, and I can't believe it took me this long to come back to it. God is good.
Who do I still see from MVHS? Brian Williamson and I talk several times a year, I've seen Jon Stone a few times over the last couple years, had a nice dinner last spring with Brian, Jon, Dave Stone, George Voss, Bill McGrath, and Greg Mooshagian. I swap emails with Denise Keil and Brad Spurr now and again; I see Keith Houser ('78) about once a year, saw Julie Williamson ('78) last year, and Matt Ingersoll ('79) the year before that. Lost a dear friend, Joe Ranft ('78).
