John's Story
Dropped out in 1979 to work full time, took the GED that year and did really well. Guess school wasn't an interest. Moved to Colorado in 1982 working construction. Got tired of that and joined the Army. Did 3 years active 1 year reserve 2 years inactive in Ft hood,TX and Ft Stewart, Ga. Honorable discharged.
I met my Wife while home on leave in July of 1983 and we were married just after Christmas that year. Had one daughter in 1985. In 1986 we left Ga. For WI. Where my wife managed a pizza store and I became a manager in train...Expand for more
ing. In late 86 we both got promotions to the Chicago area. After a year the corporation did away with profit sharing and we got rid of them.
Moved back to Micgigan and started from scratch, auto warehouse supervisor then to a big chain store warehouse for 16 years before they closed. A few years before they closed I injured my lower back and damaged some nerves so today I am unable to.work and on disability. I had a heck of a ride though and consider almost every day a gift not to mention two little girls that call me pop-pop
