John's Story
Was pretty much a nobody at Rich East. When I came back for the 30th reunion, I was afraid noone would even remember me. But surprisingly, some did!
After graduation I was headed to Catholic seminary. But I didn't do very well and left after just one semester. My family decided to move to Akron, Ohio and I ended up attending The University Of Akron. I earned a BsEd. in Elementary Education and fell in love with a beautiful woman named Debbie, who was an honors nursing student.. We have been married for 33 years (June 2, 2013). en. Along the way I picked up an MDiv and a Bachelors in Information Technology. I have worked in everything from prison food service, to caring for severely developmentally disabled children, to electronics customer service to telemarketing. And all along the way I have been involved in some kind of Christian ministry. My wife and I are actively involved in the foster and adoption movement, and currently have an adopted daughter and we are awaiting our new foster child.
I hope to see my friends from Rich East again sometime, and talk about old times, old crimes, and old rhymes...
