John's Story
I attended Luther Burbank HS from September 1969 to June 1972. I continued to play music until 11/2014. I attended Sacramento City College and CSUS. I worked at Bank of America at 18 branches and the Consumer Loan Center until I retired in August 2012 as s Manager/Vice President. from Tower of Power on Jimmy Foot’s album at Wally Heider’s Studio, Mic obtained more jobs for me at two other studios. In the 90’s Mic got me a job fixing 7 Sax parts on Doc Kupka’s Strokeland Superband-Kick it up a Step CD plus I covered a full track. The last 20 years I worked with Funk Foundation, Groove Thang Band and Rick James Stone City Band. My last recording was for Big Mike Hart, Jr. in October 2014. Currently living in Carmichael.
