John's Story
August 10, 2011
I am sure there is an already established committee for Shorelines Class of 1965 reunions.
In 2015, just four years away; now is the time to start planning and I want to help.
It will take at least that long to prepare for this major event.
We all need this celebration of life together; rekindling old friendships.
A Very Most Senior Prom could be a black tie event with dinner and dancing at a hotel or restaurant. We could hire a band or DJ and a local dance teacher to give us a lesson.
A discussion of these and other ideas can make this event the best it can be. It would be great fun to make the effort to bring everyone together.
Please contact me at jhawanderson at aol dot com. I wish to get involved.

on in 1965, I attended Shoreline Community College for two years and then went into the U.S. Army Band in Texas and Germany. After marrying Anita, and graduating from the U. of W. in 1974, we moved to Madison, Wisconsin.
I am now a retired high school art teacher living in Barrington, Illinois. We are traveling and taking ballroom dance lessons.
I have done some substitute teaching and visit the Crow Creek Indian Reservation in South Dakota; where I provide a jewelry making experience for the kids.
I feel I have been buried in a busy career away from my home town and out of touch with my past. Retirement is great, because it allows time to reconnect with old friends.
We want to attend the 50th class re-union in 2015.
It would be great to hear something from you.
