John's Story
Life
My first 10 years after school were made up of working for the State government and going to Georgia State University at night. Then, in 1975, I had a great opportunity to go to St. Simons Island, Georgia and become the Controller for the Sea Island Company, operators of the Cloister Hotel and the Sea Island Resort complex. That was a great life, but in 1992 I was suffering from a little burn out, so I decided to try to find something that would take me a step up to Chief Financial Officer. Well, I'm still looking for that opportunity as of July 2005, but I think I have a good chance coming up soon.

age and building a beautiful house on St. Simons, we had our son Nicholas in 1980.
He is now an EMT with Forsyth County. I am currently in between jobs waiting on that next opportunity I mentioned. But previously I was still working as a Controller. I am a licensed and active CPA in Georgia.My wife works as a Neuromuscular Therapist. Interestingly, she used to work with the Atlanta Falcons during the late 1990's but had to give that up as she has developed or contracted Lupus, so she is not as strong as she used to be.
The biggest thing I am looking forward to right now is retirement!
