John's Story
Life
After high school I went to work in Tallahassee with the ambulance service, and Life Flight Helicopter. I started off working ground ambulance, and then I worked alot of Neo-Natal flights to Shands and Sacred Heart. I attended FSU, and was a proud member of the Florida State Marching Chiefs. I returned to Panama City after college, and have resided here since. In 1990 I obtained my nursing license. In 1995 I decided to realize one of my dreams of starting my own guide fishing business. I attended Sea School and took the Coast Guard Masters Boards which I passed receiving my Captains/Masters license (don't look at me that way and no you can't call me Master lol). I have been fortunate to run yachts to 180ft long, and have met some very interesting people along the way. In 1993 I had some friends ask me to captain a boat in the Half Hitch shark tournament. ch Tiger Shark weighing in at 617 1/4lbs. In 1998 I met what I thought was an angel, and married her. Someone failed to remind me that Satan was once an angel too.(I was only joking, please sit down and put the gun away ma'am.) In 2001 I realized another dream, I tried out for a Semi-Pro football team. I made the team, but saw limited playing time. We made it to the playoffs, and lost in the first round of the NAFL this is a league the NFL drafts out of. Over the winter I became interested in weight lifting. I gained some size over that time, and won a starting spot on the team. I start at Tight End, Defensive Tackle, and play all special teams. My nickname on the team is "STATE" because I attended FSU, but sometimes I hear "OLD MAN" from opposing teams. I have enjoyed life to the fullest since high school, and have run into several of my classmates in that time. I hope to see many more of you soon.
