Well, the late 70s and most of the 80s were and still are pretty much a blur, although I did manage to graduate from the University of Houston with a bachelor's degree in journalism. I worked for awhile for the old Houston Post, then moved on to work as a reporter for the newspaper in tiny Temple, Texas, roughly halfway between Austin and Waco.
