John's Story
The journey I have been on has taken me through many ups and downs. After East, I enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. After the service I went through a series of one problem after another. Most of which were attributed to alcohol and drug abuse. This went on for about forty years. While unfortunate, there were some bright events within period of sobriety.
I attended Columbia Bible College and earned a BA in Pastoral Ministries, MA in English Bible from the grad school and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have Post Graduate work in Higher Ed Administration.

lose everything.
While going to the VA for help I was diagnosed with chronic PTSD. This explained a lot of the problems I was having. That was March 25, 2010. Since then I am getting disability from Va and Social security. To supplement that income I work for a heating and air company.
While I have been divorced for over 5 years now I have custody of my children, and both are doing pretty good. They'll both be attending Midlands Tech in January.
Like all of us, we have traveled down different roads yet in our hearts we yearn for " the good old days" when things didn't move so fast dropping a note wasn't done on an I-Phone but writing on a piece of paper, folding it carefully, and passing it to that special girl we had a crush on.
