John's Story
Graduated mid term 1965 on the five year plan, administration thought I should go to more than 10 days of school my first senior year. After graduation worked at Bob's Big Boy for about 5 month, did not see a big future there. Joined the Army, last time I join anything, in 1966. Served 4 years, 6 months training, 6 months in Bad Aibling Germany, then February 67-February 68 Vietnam with the 1st. Cav Division. Italy, 2 years in Vicenza, Italy. About 45 minutes from Venezia, 20 minutes from Verona, they had thrown Brer Rabbit in the briar patch. Most beautiful country with the most beautiful people. Returned home, followed my father into the construction industry, went from housing to commercial construction. Carpenter to Superintendent, built Walmarts, Mervyns (gone), Albertson, Sears, Home Depots, Shopping Centers, etc. Married twice, have 4 adult children, 2 boys, 2 girls, currently single and retired. Living in the thriving metropolis of Hemet, CA. Life is good.
