I am in my third career (first was as a CPA and second was accounting software and computer sales) as a residential rental property owner and manager. I own and manage my own properties in two historic neighborhoods in Greensboro. I enjoy the creative facets of finding, buying, planning the renovations, managing the projects, and then finding good tenants! This requires me to wear many hats. Of course I do all my accounting, as well as many repairs and whatever else is needed. The pay off is that you answer to you. My time is flexible and I like to freedom that comes with that. Honestly, dont make the income that I use to, but there are other benefits. I am divorced and my son currently lives with me. He is entering UNCG this fall. Great kid, but a bad driver! I refer to him as the "Deer Hunter". If he has one more incident with a deer, Santa's herd would be wiped out and there will be no Christmas! He wants to be a Pharmacist.
