John's Story

Went to Chowan and Va. Tech. Taught in Henrico County for 30 years now. Got married in 1983 and left teaching for 4 years to work in the trucking business with my wife and her family. Missed teaching and got back in it. Taught at Byrd MS and coached football and track and have been at Mills Godwin High School for the past 19 years. . Since 1998 I have been the head baseball coach. Won a State Championship in 1999. Married to Cecelia and we have a daughter named Grace who lives in New York City. She graduated from the American Music and Dramatic Academy where she hopes to act and sing hopefully on Broadway one day but for now she is enjoying living in NYC and we enjoy going to see her. We live in Glen Allen.
