John's Story
Hi. Retired from teaching at the U. of Alaska, but still in Fairbanks, though we've bought a house in Bellingham, WA and are spending part of the year there. Grandkid, Stella Morgan, a darling, is now 14. My poetry collection, "Spear-Fishing on the Chatanika: New and Selected Poems," was published in 2010. ild river in south-central Alaska. These are all available on Amazon, along with "Archives of the Air," "The Moving Out: Collected Early Poems," and my newest book, "The Hungers of the World." Annie Dillard writes that my poems are "strong and full of carefully controlled feeling. They are tender and precise evocations of the moral and sensory life of man." We've been doing a lot of traveling in recent years--to China, Tibet and South America (Peru and Ecuador, including the Galapagos), also India, Egypt and Japan. Warm wishes from the warming subarctic.
