John's Story
Things continue to change. In August 2015, I had a double by-pass. It was a surprise but I'm glad I had it done. Dr. Roberto Colangelo of St. Francis Hospital did the operation. I'm rehabbing now and hope to be strong again soon.
Life
Things have changed since I first wrote this story. In September of 2009, my son and his family moved from Montrose to Bloomington, Indiana. Tina and I helped with the move and drove my three grandchildren to Bloomington.
Our house sold in February 2010 and so we were off on another journey. This time we were going home to New Hyde Park.
We took the long way visiting Rich and his family outside of Memphis, Tennessee and John and his family in Bloomington, Indiana.
We're back in New Hyde Park. We have family here that can use our help. Just need to get back to Long Island living.
Now read the old story -

. I have worked in many different schools and loved them all. I will always remember and thank the students who shared these years with me.
This spring, my wife Tina retired and we decided to move from Long Island. We moved to Montrose, Colorado in August. It has been terrific.
I have three sons. Rich, my oldest lives in Memphis, Tennessee and works for the weather service. He is married and has three sons. Rich fought in the first Gulf War. Peter lives on Long Island and continues to stay single. He is working towards his degree to be math teacher. He had worked in the Travel Insurance Industry but decided he wanted to teach. He also does some modeling and acting. John, his wife and daughter moved to Montrose Colorado in 2003. They have three children under four - Amanda, Caleb and Keith.
I am getting use to this retired life. We explore a lot and have loads of fun with our grandchildren. Colorado is a beautiful place to live.
