Life
Didn't attend HS graduation ceremonies...too impatient to join the army. Spent 24 years in US Army as Special Forces and Airborne Infantry trooper. Had one combat tour in South Vietnam and Desert Shield/Storm. Retired in 1992 as Master Sergeant. Happily married 31 years,4 children and 9 grand children. Youngest son is an active duty US Marine who has served in Afghanistan. Luv to talk politics and religion. Very anti-Bush and anti-organized religion. Would very much like to see a woman as president. Am spiritual; not religious. Some what of an activist and out spoken and not afraid to 'make waves'. I follow the beat of my own drummer and ignore the public concensus or what's popular if I believe otherwise. Prefer being the shepard; not the sheep. ting the military draft with no educational deferments or frivalous medical excuses permitted. EVERY citizen should be required to serve 3 years on active duty, ESPECIALLY when war is declared. Avid reader of history, political science and spiritual subjects. Devoted animal lover. Enjoy writing and am presently developing a screen play about SOG warriors in Vietnam. Despise people who talk the talk without walking the walk and reject materialism and status as a guage of success.Believe in helping the less fortunate and a proponent of humanitiarn volunteerism
causes; specifically helping the ederly, the homeless, hospice patients and severly disabled vet's. Attitude is everything and it doesn't hurt anyone to say 'thank you', 'I love you' or 'I'm sorry'. My philosphy is give a stranger a smile and a 'hello' everyday. You could change a life.
