John's Story
Well, here's the quick and dirty of the past 32 years. I got married nearly 28 years ago, we have two girls, who are Autumn, (27), she is married and living in Portland, no kids, still finding herself. Then there is Faryl, (22), she just graduated from CSUN in theater arts and hopes to stage manage live theater.
My wife, Deann is manager of the carrier resource department of the second largest transportation broker in the nation. We live in a 1933 farmhouse on 1/3 of an acre in the small town of Sunland, about 20 miles north of LA against the foothills. We have a cat, an aviary with a bunny, cockatiel and pigeon. There is also a peahen, yes PEAHEN that likes to hang out in the yard and has for nearly two years. Try coming out of your back door one day and nearly trip over a 2 foot bird. Good thing I have a strong heart.

ve been an independent IT consultant doing work for small business in the area. I have a home office, which is good and bad. Good, short commute (20 feet out the back door) and bad, the office is only 20 feet away, so I tend to be there when I can't sleep.
My interests are cooking, wine and drinking. Yes, drinking, I am learning to become a certified bartender! Deann gave me classes for my 50th birthday last year. I have been taking the class slow, since I just enjoy doing it. Someday, I will become certified and be able to hang my certificate in my home bar, which you can see online, if you want. But apparently, I can't give the address here. But you might try triple w dot saars dot us.
As for the cooking part, I use that as my therapy after a long day. I do about 95% of the cooking in our house.
