Life (Update) That NOW pic was taken on July 4, 2010. The THEN pic was back in about '70, in my Rock n' Roll days. 40 years ago, I guess I knew what is like to be young and adventurous! After a couple years of college, my band(s) played the Northwest circuit (WA, OR, ID) of dancehalls, bars, concert venues, Rock Festivals, etc. Did that full time until about 1977. During this time, my "part time" job became seeking the meaning and purpose of (my) life. After years of searching, my questions were answered in the person of Jesus Christ. Obviously, my life took a new direction, and I went to Bible College (LBI/Trinity College). And, to make a real long story short, met my future wife, and began the long journey of Faith. I have been married to the love of my life, Joni (Garcia, Evergreen '76), for 31 yrs and counting (as of Sept 6 2011)! We met at Bible College in the late 70's and began our friendship doing street ministry around Seattle. After receiving the unconditional love, mercy, forgiveness and restoration of Christ ourselves, we began sharing that same hope with others on the streets! She has a heart of gold, and is truly a gift from God to me! We have two wonderful kids (ADULTS!), Joel, now 27, and Joanna, 23. Our grandson, Halen, was born August 30th!!! He is the center of the universe now! One puppy, Champ (a Yorkie) and a Grandpuppy, Gia (a miniature Cocker Spaniel with blue eyes!). Yes, I still play guitar (45 yrs and counting!), playing in the Classic Rock & Blues band, SkyBridge. We play local clubs and festivals around the Puget Sound area. Really, Joel is carrying the guitar torch now...writing, playing professionally and producing.... (I should be his manager, I guess!) Joel and his lovely wife Trina were living in L.A., but recently moved back to the NW, while Joel's band toured the world. He worked as a promotional rep for Universal Records across the US & Canada ...Expand for more
