John's Story
Hi from Colorado where I've been since 2010.
For 30 years it was "Aloha" from Hawaii. After 15 years traveling the country and the world in Radio, Television, and Advertising, I got married and moved to Hawaii. Twenty years and two sons later, I was still in the business of communications here with Aloha Pacific Communications and then expanded into economic development with Enterprise Honolulu, a privately funded group that is diversifying the economy through technology jobs. National Laboratory, The Hawaii Science & Technology Council, and was named one of Hawaii's to 50 Tech leaders in 2006. Then came the recession.
In early 2010 I got a call from a colleague recruiting me to Colorado to continue in economic development and now I have a home on the range where deer, foxes, rabbits and even mountain lions play. It's a very different place from Hawaii. I'm in the town of Parker a few miles south of Castle Rock, just south of Denver. You can find me on LinkedIn and I love to hear from schoolmates.
