John's Story
Life
After I graduated in 94 I joined the Army, went through Basic and AIT, and was stationed in D.C at Ft McNair. I was part of the 3rd U.S. Infantry (The Old Guard - The Official Ceremonial Unit of the Army and Presedential Escort). I spent 4 1/2 years there.
After that I bartended for 6 months at one of the busiest bars in D.C. before finding a job with Image Works Landscaping. I worked there for 7 seven years (inbetween two deployments) and rose the ladder to be the operations manager for a multi-million d...Expand for more
ollar landscape company. I was also serving in the Maryland Army National Guard at the time.
As part of the Guard I trained in Hokido, Japan; Hoenfels, Germany; and Yerevan, Armenia. I have been deployed twice since 9/11; once to spend a year guarding a chemical facility and from Jan 05 to May 06 I got activated and spent a year in Iraq.
Recently I have moved back to Odessa (rather Gardendale to be precise) and am working for my father at his company and going to Odessa College in pursuit of two future degrees.
