John's Story
Life
I was born in Atlanta at St. Joseph. Grew up in Buckhead in the Garden Hills area. So did my Dad. The The sixties were hip, hot wheels and big GI Joes to blow up. The seventies were cool with the outrageous rock and roll, midnight movies, and the cars . I got married in 1986 when I was still immature. I have learned a lot about people and life since then. I have learned self respect and confidence. I don't hide from who I am and the lessons I have learned. I am in tune with my spiritual side. I am no longer scared to ask for help if I need it. God is my master. I grew up a strong catholic participating in church activities, sunday school and working with the priests in my parish. I was an altarb...Expand for more
oy and a lector. I considered the priesthood but realized that God had a different vocation for me. In high school I strayed from the church and found out that life is difficult and confusing without direction. I got married in the church .. The marriage was full of love but stormy. I lacked the ability to hold it together and never really took the time to know my wife. We ceased to be a couple and got divorced in 1996. God gave us three beautiful children. Since then I have become more in touch with my spirituality. I have learned to listen intently and God places angels in my path to guide me. I have gained self-repect and confidence and am always dicovering new forms of humility. I witness miracles every day.
