John's Story
After graduation ceremony went to Ocean City for weekend. Had already enlisted in Navy and left following monday. Spent the next four years boring a hole in the Pacific Ocean with a submarine. Went back to Baltimore in late 1965. All the wonderfull classmates I had were either married, or went to college and were lost. years in Hawaii alone with nothing to my name except a pillow case full of dirty clothes, I got married. Finally got transfered to Connecticut for a year. Then began boring a hole in the Atlantic. This time with a Nuclear Sub for 13 years. Being able to live pretty much anyware I wanted settled on Charleston, South Carolina. It snows here every 25 years. I can take the discomfort of heat but not the pain of cold.
