John's Story

I was a student at SFA for 1/2 my sophomore year and all of my junior year. In 1955, my family moved to Iraq and I finished high school at the American Community School in Beirut, Lebanon. Pillot on the corner of Wayside and Telephone. I returned to the States to attend the University of Texas and then graduate school in Cairo, Egypt, Princeton, and Tehran, Iran. I have not been in touch with anyone from Austin since I left in 1955, though when I came back to Houston from the Middle East in 1956, I briefly dated one of my Austin classmates.
