Johnnie's schools include Central Junior High School, Central Sr. High School, and while in high school I ran with a group, that call themselves the black student liberation Union, headed up by one of my very good friends Stephen Dewberry, as Stephen and myself were in ROTC I was what they call The Minister of Defense and that was a big joke. While anyway after high school I went to the United States Navy, while in the Navy was I was assigned to a SEA-BEE detachment as a construction electrician and demolition specialist. I was primarily based on Midway Island, I got injured and was shipped back to Midway Island and then to the hospital at Hickman Air Force Base in Hawaii, where I was hospitalized for nine weeks. After getting released from the hospital, I got out of the Navy and was shipped back home to Kansas City, to await final discharge. That was in 1972, I also met my wife in 1972, and we got married in January 13th.1973. I then went back to school at Penn Valley Community College, Where I got a certificate of certification and computer networking, and at the same time I was working part-time down at the city market.
