Johnny Lyman:  

My Simple Life... Spencer Jonathan "Johnny" Lyman - aka "Pick" From Coast to Coast to Capitol Hill. Many People across the country know of, or heard of, me from my Interaction with Veterans, Politicians for Nearly 30 Years... Moved to Hopewell '61 (City Point kid) moved to Wakefield VA in 1983... Many Places within VA In-between.... I was Due to Graduate in '69 had Everything went well for me, it didn't but, I still consider myself as the Class of '69! I'm on my second marriage since '78, My first marriage, '69 lasted 7 yrs. Divorced my 1st wife Debbie in '76. She Passed Away in '99 from Complications Related to Diet Products.... My son John, born '72 is on his 2nd marriage & resides in Chino CA... He has 2 sons born '01 & '03, 1 daughter born '93 & 2 step sons BDs Unkn. My son Mike, born '75 is on his 2nd marriage & resides in Palm Gardens, FL. He has a daughter, born '09. My step-daughter Stefanie, born '72 has never married & has no kids. My oldest Son's Daughter now 23, got married this past July and graduated Radford University in Dec of '15... It's still hard to imagine we are now in the 21st Century! If you have ever stopped to think, we were born less than a hundred yrs after the Civil War that almost tore apart our great nation! I Left Hopewell '75 vowing NEVER TO RETURN!.. Before I Knew and understand politics, I called Hopewell, "Little Chicago" and yrs. since it proved me correct. many times over! The only thing I miss about Hopewell, old friends and a Hellofa lot of good memories through the years! I Worked for Allied Chemical, ICD Alum Plant 24 yrs. I drove tractor trailer 25 yrs and 2 1/2 mil. miles... I was medically retired in 1996... I, along with my wife Anna, have became members of the Virginia Southern Baptist Convention - Disaster Relief in '05... I drive tractor trailer and Anna works the kitchen. The VSBCDR has 6 mobile kitchens... Richmond HQs Unit can put out 30K meals a day. We have covered 5 Hurricanes to date, Rita - Wilma - Gustav - Ike - Sandy... My Basic hobby is Sport Shooting, I am a member of the Airfield Shooting Club. I like play a little with wood in my 16'X36' - 3 room, w/bath, Dog House out back... Folks in the City Call it a "Man Cave" but us Old Guys here in the country, We still call it what it is... a Dog House, and Ma will agree as she sends me there from time to time! I have liked very much so in the past, to poke at Rogue Politicians who stand outside Our US Constitution. As of late, I informed all on the Hill they will have a undetermined reprieve till my health improves a bit from my Back Surgery in May of '15... I...Expand for more
