Virginia's Story
I went to Pacific Lutheran University, graduating in 1977 with a BFA in Theater, then went on to Lutheran Bible Institute earning a B.Sc. in Biblical Studies. I worked in a variety of jobs including selling curriculum at a Christian bookstore, parish worker in a church in Marysville, WA, a security officer/secretary at Seattle Pacific University and a secretary/clerk at Augsburg Publishing House in Seattle. I was married briefly and divorced while I was in seminary.
I am a pastor (following in my father's footsteps, though not in the military) currently serving in my third call in Othello, WA.
I am a foster parent and an adoptive parent, I have two girls ages 15 and 10, who are delightful. They keep my life hopping these days! The younger one is heavily involved in soccer, volley ball and swim team which means we are on the road a lot for various games...but it is all great!
I love to hike, camp, read, go to movi...Expand for more
es, museums and travel. Of course I can't do any of that without my coffee, starbucks being a great place to hang out with friends. My travels have taken me to Namibia, South Africa, Egypt and
Israel. My girls and mom filled in last summer with trips to the Badlands, Yellowstone, Little Big Horn, Mr. Rushmore
and various points of interest in between such as Little America and the Corn Palace!
I am grateful for my years in Germany as I learned about new cultures and countries. The travel bug bit early with all our trips around Europe. I recently saw a House Hunters International on HDGTV where a couple were looking for a flat in Nurnberg/Erlangen. The pictures of the Castle and the Christkindle's market brought back pleasant memories of hanging out with friends in those places. Who can forget the football games at soldier's field?
While it has been a long time, I would love to hear from friends! Peace!
