Vincent's Story
Married the 'sweetheart of my dreams', then lost her...but found her again, and married her almost 30 years to the date that we were originally married. We now share 5 children, and 2 grandchildren between us. So, I guess we became an original 'Brady Bunch', but without the 'Marsha, Marsha, Marsha'...Each one of them is absolutely a marvelous person, and contributor to their communities.
Military Veteran (Navy), been around the world, and between that and my father's involvement in the Aviation & Space Industry, I choose a career in the Defense Industry. I have worked my way through the ranks of each specialty within my career field, and am now have been lucky enough to have been a Program Manager on several military weapons programs. Basically, and after nearly 35 years of doing my job(s) if it flies, floats, runs on land, or swims under the water, I have probably worked on the product's development program!
I still ride Harleys, I still do Falconry, I now do Community Emergency Response (CERT), and I can play a pretty mean game of golf...
Having grown up in LA, I lived in Monterey, CA (schooling),as well as, Key West, FL (duty station) while in the Navy. That job...Expand for more
sent me around the world during the botched Iranian Hostage debacle in 1979-80 I then traveled and spent some time in Colorado Springs, where I managed a topless bar. Then it was back home for a short stint, where I go to work on the (then) new 747 AirForce One that Prez Reagan put in a budget request for. Then moved to Phoenix where I raised my two kids as a single father. Finally, it was off to San Diego, CA, and now, Detroit Michigan, where I can now say I survived the (newest) winter record for snowfall, and (over 94 inches - that's over 8 feet of that white stuff!), longest spance of time were we hade more than an inch of snow on the ground (over 120 days - that's 4 months)! It's just too bad that Michiganders think a 900-foot hill is a large mountain and makes for a great ski slope...even Big Bear has longer and steeper terrain! B-)
Hoping to one day come back and settle down with my wife in SoCal, but not until they push all the illegals out and back to wherever they came from, as well as, once the state becomes profitable again. So, it looks like it will be a long, or never, prospect of coming back at setting down roots in the ground where I grew up... :-(
