Jolene's Story
Life
Went to NIU after high school and met husband Wade. Didn't finish at NIU but completed college at NKU (Northern Kentucky University) in 1992. Have six great kids, one got married last Oct., and one is getting married next June. No grandchildren yet, but Wade and I have a tail end, Todd who is seven. He keeps us young. I worked full time for 20 years and have taken off for the last 2 by being a homemaker. My oldest 3 sons have homes close to us in Florence, KY a suburb of Cincinnati, OH. Two kids will be in college in fall and one will be in 2nd!Five of my siblings still live in the Barrington area. Terri and family are in Texas. Mom and Dad moved to Capron, IL loving the peace and quiet of a farm community. Hope to make it to the reunion in October.

Wow! My family has changed so much since I made the above bio. Three of my six kids are married, one is getting married on Sept. 21, 2007 and I have the cutiest two grandchildren in Kentucky! Kendal just turned two and Owen is 16 months. Todd, my youngest, is in the 6th grade now- I volunteer at his school. Over Spring break this year, Wade and I took Todd into Chicago to the Museum of Science and Industry and Wrigley Field. The city was so clean working on it's bid for the Olympics- it was so much differrent then what I remembered as...Expand for more
a child.
My parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in April and Dad turned 80 in February. All my living sisters and brothers came together in February for Dad's birthday. We had a great time in Hutley, IL which is where my parents now reside in Sun City. I hope everyone who reads this is well and happy in life. Thanks classmates.com for your sight, I was able to get in touch with Sue Gelhar (White), my good friend from high school! May God bless you and keep you safe!

My goodness-time had flown by! Wade and I are retired. Four of our 6 children are married-the other two are making their mark on this world. For years I could say all the kids were in close driving distance here in Kentucky. Recently my 4th son Andy has accepted a job in Minneapolis. His beautiful wife , Laura will be joining him in July. I salute two of my Daughters-in-laws for saving so many lives during the pandemic. Doc Emily is an Emergency Doctor and Laura is a family practice NPR. I am so proud of this family that I have been Blessed with. The nine Grandkids have done well in school and we have enjoyed their sports, band, and academic accomplishments. I hope my fellow classmates have enjoyed life. I have found great joy in my Kentucky community.
