Life Time sure flies by, doesn't it? I can't believe it's been 28 years since high school. We can't be that old now, can we? Now that my kids are adults, I'm enjoying seeing them begin their own lives, and remembering myself at their ages. What I wouldn't do to go back and know what I know now and do it all again. Age certainly does bring wisdom. I have two kids, Amber still lives in Grand Junction and is 26 years old, married and she works for Shaw Construction. My son Keaton is 19, and is a team leader for Lowes. He and I live in Aurora, where I'm a second grade teacher for Cherry Creek Schools. I love my job, and my students teach me something new everyday. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in banking for a while, and was a flight attendant for a while. I went back to college when I was in my early 30s, and I loved it! It ignited my love for learning and now I take classes of some sort pretty much all the time. In fact, in January 2008 I'm heading back to school for my second masters degree. This time I'm going to finally fulfill my dream of being a school counselor.
