Life
Current as of 07/09: Didn't do college. Married Betty Jo Emery of Neshanic in Sept '74. We became divorced in June of '08. We have three children, and two surviving grandchildren (one is deceased).
Moved to Manville in early '74 and then to North Plainfield in mid-'76. All my jobs except one have been in Hillsboro/Somerville area. Can't get away! Did a lot of amateur theatre after SHS thru 1979, and occasionally in the 80's, but after 1988 the nature of my (real)job precluded that kind of commitment. DJ'd at clubs and parties in the 80's. Wrote for Relix magazine and elsewhere in late 80's, interviewing older rock stars such as Country Joe, and members of the Byrds, Flying Burrito Br...Expand for more
os and NRPS, resulting in liner notes on 3 CD's attributed to me or Relix. Also quoted at ex-Byrd Gene Parson's website. More recently am quoted in two books, on the Beach Boys and the Byrds. Am referred to as "music historian" in the first book, so it must be true!
2008: It was the worst of years, yet joy returned to my heart late in the year, as I looked forward to asking a beautiful woman from India to marry me. On December 21, she replied "Of course I will!"
JUNE 30, 2009: The beautiful Shipra and I wed this day, in front of the Mayor of North Plainfield. I consider myself so lucky to have been blessed with another chance for happiness.
