Jon's Story

Life Well Hey to all my long lost classmates and friends out there. No, I didn't drop off the face of the earth. Here I am. Still playing music (until the day I die!!) Anybody reading this, drop me an email sometime and let me know what's up. I moved out of Madison for over 10 years after Graduation to pursue Hospitality Management and was just about finished with the old "degree" when I realized that I was SICK of Hotels. A funny thing happened one day that forever changed my outlook and plans in life. A good old friend of mine offered me a shot at changing my life, making good money and simplifying the stress and headaches of life I was experiencing in Hotels. Hotels were great, don't get me wrong, but with my dream of still playing on the "Big Stage" the Hotel life was out of the question. So, I moved back home to take care of "dear old Mom" and became a......Expand for more
are you ready for this???..... a BARBER !!! That's right a good, old fashioned, BARBER in beautiful, BOOMING, Downtown Culpeper. So, next time you're rolling down Main Street in Culpeper, come by and see me at North Main Barber Shop. Back to the music, I am still playing Tenor Sax and am also playing Keyboard(s), (2 at once, how about that), and Lead Vocals in my own band called Second Time Around. We play wherever & whenever we can. Need a band, send me an e-mail & I'll be there. Like I said, send me an e-mail. Would love to hear from some of you "Mountaineers" out there or friends that just happen to see my name. Best Wishes to all of you and remember, "As we walk down this road we call life, remember these 3 simple ideals and you will go far. It is better to see than to look, it is better to listen than to hear, and it is better to speak than to talk." JJ
