Jon's Story

It has been a long time since I have made an entry on Classmates. Since my last entry, My oldest son and middle son have graduated from high school in Oakwood, GA. My oldest is going to a two year school in hopes of transferring to a 4-year college after next year, and my middle son is planning the same path. I have moved on from the insurance business and for the last five years, have been working for a switchgear manufacturer. The company is co-owned by Caterpillar and by Eaton Corporation, both multi-billion dollar companies in the global electric power business. I am now an engineer with the company. I played an open mic night at Buffalo Wild Wings in Gainesville, GA. It was awesome, and my dream come true. Perhaps now I can set my sights on getting paid for a gig. Buy, as I write this, I am in Canada working on behalf of my company, so scheduling gigs may be a little difficult, since I will be traveling. I don't plan to come to the next reunion, since I did not fit in with any of you guys when I was in school, and still do not fit in. I did not particularly like many of you , and don't really care if I never see any of you ever again. I had about two friends, and have kept in touch with them best I could. The rest of you could drop off the planet and I would not care in the slightest. I wish all of you the best for the future.
