Jon's Story
Life
My wife of 33 years and 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren are my whole life. I'm retired from the Air Force and live in Las Vegas. We spend most of our vacation time boating, fishing and camping. Yes it gets hot here but a swimming pool really helps.
Workplace
I spent 20 yrs 18 days in the Air Force In Medical Radiology. I did diagnostic x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, therapy, vascular interventional, CT and MRI and management. I now exclusively work in MRI. After retiring from the service I worked again in a hospital environment, but found outpatient walky talky patients more enjoyable. rating a 3 tesla magnet. (thats 12 time the strength of the magnet they pick up cars with at a junk yard) This is a world wide show site for Philips Medical Systems. The scanning programs that I write are going out world wide to other users. Doing functional Neuro imaging to include nerve fiber tracking in the brain for research. We are the most likely the best brain trauma imaging center in the country. I am also performing as an independent consultant for protocol development and start up for many field strength MRI units.
