David's Story
Dated 5/29/2004:
After high school I went to San Jacinto Jr College for two years for buisness. After school I moved to Breckenridge Colorado and lived for twenty years and started my first company Rocky Mountain Hot Tubs & Pools. After running that company for fifteen years I decided to take on a partner and pack up the family and move back home to Texas. I live now in Jamaica Beach Galveston full time now for my new buisness Outcast Charters, Hot Tubs & Pools. We still go back to our home on Lake Houston for the weekends to see the kids and the family. I have been real lucky to have such a supportive family and cast of friends from all over the United States and abroad. My wife Carol the love of my life, my two boys Clint 22 and his wife Brittany who are married now and due with our first grandchild around the first of Dec 2005, and Cody 21 who is still going to school, Zeus my main hunting dog who just passed this spring from cancer "god rest his soul". Xena my other chocalate lab and Scooter our beer drinking low riding mix are the loves of my life. My hobbies are simple anything that has to do with hunting or fishing or the great outdoors and I'm there. But NASCAR is my main love we are season ticket holders to Texas Motor Speedway, my wife craves the sound of 800HP at 200MPH I can not blame her. When time allows the family and I love riding four wheelers, camping and traveling when ever we can find the time. I look forward to hearing from some of my old class mates and seeing what they have been up to. Hopefully life has been as good to them as it has been to me !!! If not its been one hell of a ride anyway!!!!...Expand for more

Update 9/28/09: Been awile since I have updated whats happening. Well on 10/25/2005 during hurricane Rita I had a tree land on me at our Crosby home. It tore my leg off except for a few tendons but I know this sounds weird but they were able to cut me out of the tree and got me lifeflighted out to Herman Memorial were Dr. Red Duke said " Boy you are not going to die on me" and he was right. As of todate I have had 25 surgeries, grown 6cm of bone after the removal of that much damaged bone. We were able to beat four major infections, transfered muscle out of my back to make a calf muscle and removed all the skin off my upper left leg as the skin graph for the calf. I still have a ID rod from knee to my ankle, leaving my ankle inoperative at this time. But enough of that this accident has been the best life changing lesson that anybody could ever have, and has taught me more about life and living than I could have imagined. It has taught me to love my wife more, to be a better husband, father, boss and grandfather. But most importantly a better person which in return regardless of my handicap has made me want to live life to the fullist, I'm not saying I don't have bad days but I think we all have them. It is a shame that God had to get my attention this way, but everybody say's I'm hard headed. And here is a update on grandchildren we have two now Taryn 4yrs and Hayden 2yrs, and trust me my wife and I spoil them rotten. Well that is all for now, I will update in a couple of months once we are for sure the leg is going to work and keep growing bone. God Bless, and take care of each other.
