Rick's Story
Life
I graduated from Warner Junior High in 1967 with the 9-27s. The kids in the 9-27s that year (Larry Garber, Glenn Wilkins, Tom Luce, Irene Lakerdes, Karen Vavala) were the models for today's organized crime groups. I don't think Warner Junior High ever recovered.
From Warner I went to Wilmington High School, and graduated from there in 1970. After that I hitch-hiked and bummed around for almost two years.
I joined the Army in 1972 and became a paratrooper (82nd Airborne Division). Got ...Expand for more
out of the Army in 1975 and attended the University of Delaware, where I graduated from in 1980 with a B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy.
Still feeling frisky, I joined the Navy after college and became a Navy SEAL officer. I did that for a little over 20 years, traveling all over the world in the process.
I retired in Washington DC in Decemeber, 2001. I got a Master's degree from George Washington University in Information Systems Development.
I'm married with no kids.
