Jose's Story
Life
Left college (Cal) early due to divorce from Alisal High wife. Worked forklift, mail clerk, probation clerk, Alameda Co. jail, San Quentin Prison as guard. Went back to school to finish up while working S.Q. gunposts on graveyard shift, then 28 yrs. as San Jose Police ....currently sergeant. Retiring in Jan '08, making more money retired than working,,,,due to circumstances applying only to L.E. civil service. Retired from SJPD 2008. college. Paid her way through CalPoly SLO avoiding student loans. Continued job as Director of Loss Prevention for the 17 Goodwill Stores of Silicon Valley until Feb., 2018 and retired for final time. Don't run fishing charters any more but I still have my boat slipped at Monterey Bay Municipal Marina. Fish solo or with friends 3-4 times a week and do crabbing during the winter. All my vacations are fishing vacations...Alaska, B.C., Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Long Range boats out of San Diego.
