Hi my full name is Jose Angel Ortiz. If you want to know about my past 17 and a half years go to military and it will tell you about myself and what I have been doing. Thanks

Hi, my full name is Jose Angel Ortiz. I graduated in 1985 from Porter High School the mighty Cowboys.I joined the military in 1990. Went to Basic Training at FT. Knox, Kentucky. From there my first duty station was Ft. Riley Kansas which I spent almost eleven years of my life. When I was in Ft. Riley I deployed to Iraq (Desert Storm) straight ou...Expand for more
t of Basic Training. I've also been to Korea which I spent a year there in 98-99. My next duty station was Ft Jackson, South Carolina in 2003 which I was a Drill Sergeant for three years till 2006. Which brings me to the present. I am currently stationed at Ft. Hood Texas with 1-7 Cav which brought me here to Iraq. I've been here almost 11 months and still going strong and hoping to retire in the next couple of years.
Just to let you know it has not been an easy road but looking back, I think I would do it all over again if I had to.
