Jose's Story
Well, what can I say...
I've been on a personal quest for personal fulfillment, that includes education, friends, family, travel, etc.
Career: I teach American History at the high school level, and I coach students in the college process. I am on a personal mission to help students learn, and become lifelong learners. I also expose students to international travel and study. I guess my career and mission is to help students, and I love helping them!
Hobbies: I enjoy traveling! I have traveled more in the past couple of years, than I have my entire life. I take students abroad for a couple weeks a year, and spend every moment I can away. I am looking forward to my upcoming trips to Australia, New Zealand, Egypt & Japan. But, I also enjoy visiting cities I have already visited tons of times like Paris & Florence, and enjoy a delightful meal, a gourmet coffee, a scrumptious croissant, or just walking the town.
What I do for fun: If I am at home, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, watching films, going out to dinner or enjoying drinks at a local pub or at a new bar or club. I like jumping in my car and finding a d...Expand for more
estination, almost half-hazardly that I have never visited, and do that. I like to paint the town red on occasion--my friend Joe knows what I mean by that.
Lifelong Learner: I take my education very seriously, and I find it necessary to continuously be learning. I have been out of the college classroom for the past two years now, and I am ready to go back. I am applying for my doctorate degree in education to UCLA, USC, Harvard, Stanford, Claremont Grad, and Columbia. I know I will get into one, but I hope that it helps advance my understanding of my profession, and helps me develop as a person as well.
Goals before I die:
1. Visit as many countries as possible.
2. Perfect my French & Italian.
3. Run for a political office, and win.
4. Earn my doctorate or law degree.
5. Run for governor or senator of California.
6. Buy a home.
7. Get married with someone I truly love. I'm still looking for her...
8. Have as many kids as I could afford financially and emotionally.
9. Lose 40 lbs.
10. Help as many people, students, family and friends as I can. I take pleasure in helping others. There's nothing more fulfilling!
