Joseph's Story
Life
Retired from the Navy after 24 years... Been all over the country and all over the world. I'm working as a system anaylst for CNRFC in Norfolk VA right now. Close enough to home to visit now and again. I have 2 children, Ashley Skye and Joey, and my wife, Rosanna (who I met and married in 1988, when I was stationed in New Orleans)... After all these years, most of the names listed here are still familiar. I'm still very good friends with Mark Suloff. He is the Godfather to my son. The rest of the people I hung out with at Colls, I haven't seen in years, but would love to hear from them again. After a fantastic reunion, I feel more connected to the class than I ever did in high school. Colls Class of 84 turned out some truly fantastic people and I am proud to call you all "Friends". I especially treasure the bond I have gained with the core of the 20th reunion staff! I miss you all, but even though the ties are severed (for now), you will all always have a place in my heart.
Work OTHER than the Navy
Other than a paper route for a few days, Roy Rogers was the only other job I had before I joined the military......Expand for more
But I still remember a few people that worked with me, altho I have not seen them since.
Military
I entered the Navy right after my Senior Summer... September of 1984. Through the years I have been all over the world. (Sicily, Japan, Brussells Belgium, Bahrain Saudi Arabia, Guam, Curacao NA, El Salvaor, Osan Korea, Spain, Lajas Portugal, Greece, Thailand, Wake Island, Goose Bay & St. John's Newfoundland, Keflavik Iceland, Vancouver BC, Istanbul Turkey, and Shannon Ireland.) I have been all over America too (From Brunswick Maine to Sandeigo California... Whidbey Island Washington to Key West Florida and dozens of places in between) I have seen some amazing things during my travels. De Golle al Alacantara in Sicily, The Temples and The Great Buddha in Japan, The Tree of Life in Bahrain, I've walked the Shannon River in Ireland, I've seen a Bull gore a horse to death at a bull fight in Spain (as gruesome as it is I found myself rooting for the bull!) to name a few of the things. I have met people from all over the world and have made many friends. I wouldn't give up the experiences I've had in the Navy for anything...
