Joseph's Story
After High School I worked as an Animal Control Officer for a couple of years, then as a Police Officer in Ferrysburg, MI. I entered the US Air Force in 1976 as a Law Enforcement Specialist, and in 1980 became a Special Agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. While in the Air Force, I traveled around the United States and was stationed in Belgium, Italy and Germany. I kept coming back to bases in Texas, so I decided to make Texas my adopted home. With the AFOSI, I conducted major felony level investigations into criminal, fraud and counterintelligence matters. I became the first AFOSI Undercover Agent in Europe to purchase "crack" cocaine. 97, I went to work for Walgreens as a Loss Prevention Supervisor. I spent two years in Minneapolis, MN and then moved to Houston, TX. In 2002, I started a Karaoke & DJ company called Texas Tornado Karaoke. I do private parties, weddings and other special events, and put on two dinner shows at two Mexican restaurants in Magnolia, TX. In 2007 I quit Walgreens and pursued the Karaoke business full time. I missed the investigative business, so in May 2008 I hired on as a Security Specialist for Fedex Express in Houston.
I live in Hockley, TX just north of Houston, and my wife and I have six cats, an African Grey Parrot, and 11 ducks as pets. In addition to performing with my Karaoke company, I was also a regular performer on the West Texas Opry in Lubbock, TX in the early 1990s and performed on the Colgate Country Showdown in 2002.
